Burnham Beeches 2

Back to Burnham Beeches again to walk the other side of the forest. There are fewer attractions this side, but lovely trees and fewer people. I prefer this side I think.

And beautiful light through the trees. Probably not much fun when it rains though - think Game of Thrones murky and cold! It's the height of summer now so there are still lots of flowers around.

I mentioned in the previous post that there are woodland pastures in this area and that they have reintroduced cows and horses. I came around a corner and walked right into a small herd of ponies who were completely unperturbed by hikers.

Though I kept my distance.
